At Arms Protection, we are committed to providing our customers with a curated selection of firearms that represent the pinnacle of reliability, performance, and value. That's why we're proud to highlight Taurus, a brand with a rich history of innovation and a steadfast commitment to quality.
A Global Powerhouse with American Roots
Founded in 1982, Taurus Holdings, Inc. is a Georgia-based holding company that manages some of the most recognized firearms brands in the US market, including Taurus International Manufacturing Inc. (Taurus), Heritage Manufacturing, Inc. (Heritage), and Braztech International, LC (Rossi). This network of brands is owned by the famous Brazilian public firm, Taurus Armas, S.A., a global leader in small arms manufacturing and a producer of a diverse range of consumer and industrial products.
The story of Taurus is one of continuous improvement and strategic growth. After producing its first revolver in 1941, the company's trajectory was forever changed by key acquisitions and partnerships. In 1970, a controlling interest was purchased by Bangor Punta, then-owner of Smith & Wesson, leading to a significant exchange of technology and manufacturing expertise. A pivotal moment came in 1980 when Taurus Armas acquired Beretta's Brazilian factory, along with its tooling, designs, and experienced workforce. This acquisition enabled Taurus to refine the Beretta design, leading to the creation of the acclaimed Taurus PT-92 and PT-99 pistols.
In 1982, Taurus Holdings, Inc. was formed in the United States, and in 1984, the company made an announcement that would revolutionize the industry: an unqualified Lifetime Repair Policy. This bold move demonstrated an unparalleled confidence in their products and set a new standard for customer service that has been matched but never exceeded.
A Commitment to American Manufacturing
Taurus Holdings' facilities in Bainbridge, Georgia, are a testament to their dedication to American craftsmanship. Employing over three hundred skilled workers, these facilities are responsible for the manufacturing, importation, servicing, sales, and marketing of Taurus and its subsidiary brands. Whether it's the traditional single-action revolvers from Heritage, or the wide array of pistols and long guns under the Taurus and Rossi names, a significant portion of the products are made right here in the USA.
